2018 is almost coming to an end, and with a new year comes new predicted graphic design trends. Although some may differ greatly from this year’s trends, some are also very much the same. Here’s a look some of the top trends you can expect to see in 2019.
Top 5 2019 Graphic Design Trends:
- Unique Fonts & Typography
Undoubtedly, every year will bring with it new typefaces, typography, and lettering styles. You can expect to see more brands stepping out of the norm and creating personalised fonts and typography for their business branding.
This year, shapes and patterns were popular design elements, and they will continue to grow in popularity in 2019. Circular designs in particular could be used more often, incorporating different colours and textures to make designs stand out.
In 2018 many brands made the shift towards sustainable packaging and branding items, and their brand design reflected their stand on this important issue. There is no doubt that many more brands will follow suite in 2019.
- More Pictures, Fewer Icons
In 2019, we might see a shift in the use of icons in logo design, and pictogram logos will become increasingly popular. A move towards more literal designs, and away from abstract imagery, seems to be on the cards.
- 3D Design
For a few years, flat design was preferable in many branding designs such as logo design, poster design, and web design. It looks like 3D designs are making a come-back, incorporating more realistic elements to designs.
