Every year on the 18th July South Africa (and the world) celebrate Mandela Day by giving back to our communities – in the generous spirit of Nelson Mandela we honour and remember his legacy by dedicating time out of our day to help those in need and offer our services, skills, and time to some worthy causes.
This year we got involved in two events in Cape Town.
Digital Express proudly partnered with McDonald’s and sponsored chromadek signage and flags, and in doing so we contributed to SOS Children’s Villages, which was opened by Nelson Mandela in 1996.
We also took part in the Mandela Day event at Pier Place, Cape Town. We assisted Ladles of Love and The Street Store with their amazing initiatives. Ladles of Love feeds the homeless with soup & bread, and the Street Store offers them a “shopping” experience they may not have otherwise.
We are honoured to be able to take part in these incredible initiatives, and make a difference in the lives of others.
